Senior Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant with 3–5 years of accounting experience to join our growing regional banking organization. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with strong technical accounting skills, regional banking experience, and the desire to take on increasing responsibility within a dynamic finance team. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, general ledger integrity, regulatory reporting support, internal controls, and special finance initiatives. Financial Reporting & Close Process: - Prepare and post journal entries and supporting schedules - Own assigned areas of the monthly and quarterly close process - Perform detailed account reconciliations (cash, loans, deposits, investments, accruals) - Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger - Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation Analysis & Controls: - Perform variance analysis and explain fluctuations - Identify process improvements and automation opportunities - Assist with ad hoc analyses requested by senior leadership Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - 3–5 years of experience...
