Livestock Hand / Pen Rider

Job description

We are looking for experienced Livestock Hands / Pen Riders to join our Livestock team at our Wonga Plains Feedlot. This role is involves working within a team, assisting the supervisor with day-to-day duties and operations pertaining to custom fed livestock, including processing, cattle movements, and daily care of all livestock. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with animal health management. - Pen maintenance. - Processing intake of animals. - Preparing and moving animals for exit. - Mustering & shifting animals from/to pens and paddocks, with the assistance of horses and motorbikes. - Repairing & maintaining fences and yards. - Assisting with any other relevant tasks in the feedlot as directed by the manager. Ideal Candidate: - Past experience in a similar role. - Works well with others and communicates effectively. - Strong attention to detail when completing tasks. - A strong ability to demonstrate a cooperative attitude and a positive approach to teamwork. - Ability to handle animals with confidence and patience. - Capability of riding and handling horses in a sensible manner. - Capability of following protocol to assist management in ensuring records are correct and accurate....
