Job description

Overview Maintains a reliable, secure and efficient server and data storage network. Be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active server and storage devices in order to ensure smooth network operation. Participates as a team member on Technology team projects when called upon. Responsibilities: - Establishes a reliable network by evaluating server and storage performance issues including availability, utilization, capacity, and latency; recommends the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. - Takes a technical lead in projects as they relate to server and SAN environment. - Assists in developing network policies and procedures. - Maintains network performance by performing server and storage monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. - Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. - Prepares IT team members by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support documentation. - Upgrades servers and storage by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing e...
