Job description
We are seeking a mechanical engineering intern to support the modernization of a coil tubing (CT) dynamometer system used to test downhole motors. This system circulates fluid through a motor while applying load to measure performance, integrating mechanical, fluid, and controls systems. This project is focused on developing a structured engineering definition package using current standards. The goal is to create a clear, organized foundation that can be used for future system redesign and deployment. This is a multidisciplinary opportunity that provides exposure to real-world system integration—not just component-level design. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables: - Develop a system overview and functional breakdown of the existing CT dyno, identifying major subsystems and how they interact - Create an updated Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) using current company standards - Generate a high-level mechanical layout (general arrangement) showing major components and flow paths - Define an instrumentation and I/O list , including key measurements (flow, pressure, temperature, torque, speed) and signal types - Support development of a controls concept , including block diagram...
