Job Summary Receiving work instruction from the Sunday Lead, assist with press operations to ensure efficient and quality production. This position is the 2nd level in a four-step career progression. When adequately trained and a third-level positions opens, progression to next level will be offered and may require shift change. Duties/Responsibilities: - Assist with press operations to include bundling, roll tending, make-ready, register, color, and maintenance activities. Must dependably achieve and maintain proper press registration, web alignment, set margins, slitters, and cut off. - Responsible for preparing and loading paper. - Assist in verification that correct plates are being used and determine when additional plates are necessary. Plates need to be bent and ready for press in a timely manner. - Responsible for checking jobs for accuracy. - Assist Sunday Operator ll in monitoring press activities with an eye toward preventative maintenance and improved quality. - Maintain proper ink levels on press, ensure that proper ink is being used, change ink totes, and maintain ink pumps as required. - Maintain proper fountain solution levels, ensure that conductivity and PH levels...
