Job description

Classification Title: Custodial Worker I Job Description: Cleans and maintains on a daily basis all halls, offices, shops, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators which includes sweeping, dusting, dust-mopping, wetmopping, spot-mopping, reconditioning of floors and spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions. Cleans and maintains all floors and floor coverings which includes regular duties such as vacuuming, shampooing, striping, sealing and waxing. Cleans all entrances, entrances walks, steps, patios, and concourses. Spot cleans and cleans all exterior and interior glass surfaces of all assigned buildings; cleans ceiling lights and Venetian blinds. Empties and cleans all waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains and doormats. Performs other duties assigned. Criminal background check and physical examination required. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: 5:00AM to 1:30PM (Monday through Friday). Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs.
