Laboratory Technician

Job description

The Laboratory Technician shall evaluate wildland fire chemicals for possible inclusion on the Forest Service Qualified Products List, and for continued quality assurance testing once those chemicals are qualified. Laboratory testing includes, but is not limited to, test and sample preparation, conducting experiments, data collection, data documentation and analysis, equipment calibration, maintenance and upkeep, record keeping, report writing and correspondence of test results . Education: A bachelor's degree in a science-related field. Experience: A minimum of one ( 1 ) year of previous experience working in a laboratory setting with various chemicals is required . License , Cer t or Registration Current drivers’ license: Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. The ability to obtain security clearance enabling access to various Government facilities Special knowledge, skills, & abilities: Must possess an excellent understanding of technical issues, ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively, and the ability to work within U.S. Government contractual realm This position requires the ability to communicate effectively before groups of cus...
