City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Recovery Nurse – Endoscopy, Vascular, Neuro-Interventional & Interventional Radiology, Unit Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital – Vascular and Interventional Center (VIC) Department: Vascular and Interventional Center (VIC) Reports To: VIC Prep/Recovery Supervisor Job Type: Flexi Position Summary: The Preoperative & Recovery Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in the care of patients undergoing gastroenterology, pulmonary, vascular, neuro-interventional, and interventional radiology procedures at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. This nurse provides comprehensive post-procedure care, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes through thorough assessments, clinical preparation, vigilant recovery monitoring, and patient education. Schedule: 1 shift per pay period Shifts: Rotating shifts within unit hours of 0800 to 2100, Monday through Friday Call Requirement: One weekend every 7–8 weeks, 0730–1500 Key Responsibilities: Receive post-procedural patients and perform focused recovery assessments including vital signs, neuro checks, and site monitoring.
