Environmental Service Spec I 260002Y9 Description The Western Massachusetts Hospital operated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking experienced and committed Environmental Service Specialist I’s for the Environmental Services (EVS) Department at the hospital campus in Westfield. The (EVS) Specialist is responsible for cleaning floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and washing; cleans interior surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and windows, cleans lavatories, washrooms, and mop closets. The incumbent operates equipment specific to an environmental services department, for example, floor machines, Kai Vac, automatic scrubbers, high speed burnishers, etc. Please Note: The position is 1st shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm with days off being Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): - Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and washing using appropriate supplies and equipment. - Cleans interior surfaces such as walls, ceilings, windows, furniture’s, etc. by dusting, polishing, and washing using appropriate supplies and equipment. - Cleans toilets, lavatories, washrooms, mop closets, etc., using appropriate su...
