DEPARTMENT: Art POSITION TITLE: 2026-27 AY Lecturer Pool - Art POSITION DETAILS: The Department of Art is housed in the College of Arts and Letters. At the undergraduate level, it offers a BFA degree in Studio Art, and BA degrees in Art, Art History, and Art Education (Single Subject Pre-Credential Preparation for grades K-12). At the graduate level, it offers an MFA degree in Studio Art. The Art Department is accredited by the National Association of Art and Design (NASAD). Job duties for specific areas of I) Art Education; II) Art History; and III) Studio Art are as follows: The listing of courses provides course descriptions for the courses in the department. The semester schedule is available at https://www.csus.edu/student-life/class-schedules/ . The duties of a part-time lecturer include instruction, class preparation, grading, Canvas course management, and office hours (per campus office hour policy). Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are made by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean.
