Job Title: Planner I/II Responsible for obtaining materials, components and equipment. Roles and Responsibilities: - Check requisitions, obtain quotations, examine bids and awards jobs. - Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. - Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. - Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. - Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. - Identify, define, and recommend issues for quality control. - Interpret technical data in mathematical or diagrammatical form. - Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. - Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. - Recommend new policies or procedures as necessary. - Plan and e...
