HCSS Registered Respiratory Therapist - ( 2303992 ) Description JOB SUMMARY: To provide professional support in planning, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and administering pulmonary care for individuals or groups of patients. Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: - Contributes to the success of UTMB Health Care Systems Staffing. - Assesses the pulmonary care needs of patients. - Identifies the contraindications and possible complications of patients receiving pulmonary care. - Initiates, evaluates, and reviews pulmonary care plans that reflect a multidisciplinary approach to appropriate preventive action. - Sets up and maintains respiratory equipment. - Performs blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests. - Participates in patient rounds. - Maintains patient records and equipment inventory. - Performs other related duties as required. - Ability to effe...
