Senior Manager, Global Cable R&D

Job description

JOB PURPOSE: Lead optical fiber cable R&D for the North American Region of Lightera. This includes critical participation in the Global cable initiative, synthesis of a strategic vision for cable technology, and responsibility for program execution. This role is located in Carrollton, GA. This position is partially customer facing while driving future customer innovation through manufacturing capabilities. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Masters Degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical or Chemical preferred). ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications): - Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia a plus but not required. - Experience in fiber optical cable, extrusion, or optical industries is preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Promote a safe work environment through a strong safety culture and identification and correction of unsafe conditions.
