Overview This posting is for Nuclear Inspectors at Electric Boat's Quonset Point facility. This position follows an alternative workweek schedule, working four 10-hour shifts from Thursday through Sunday. Nuclear Inspectors are responsible for verifying the structure, systems, and components built at Quonset Point that used to support the nuclear reactor of the submarine meet the requirements and standards set to ensure safe operation by our sailors serving to help protect our freedom. The candidate will be responsible for but not limited to performing the following functions: - Nuclear inspectors perform non-destructive testing (NDT) eg, MT, PT, etc., of welds/materials as well as fabrication and installation verifications for nuclear submarines - Inspectors execute the NDT techniques, per their training and evaluate physical conditions of systems (piping, structural, electrical, etc.) to verify material is built to plan and standards - Review and understanding of drawing and specification requirements for nuclear systems is required Some of the Benefits we provide to you include: - Paid Training - Medical, Dental, Vision - Prescription coverage - 401K plan - Paid vacation and hol...
