Description Whittier College and its Department of Social Work seeks a Director of Field Education with the rank of Lecturer. The successful candidate will provide the program and College with expertise in developing and administering the Field Education Program while also teaching and advising in the department. The Whittier College Social Work Program. The Department of Social Work offers a baccalaureate degree accredited by the Council on Social Work Education Commission on Accreditation. The program attracts students of all backgrounds who are highly successful in advanced standing MSW programs and in professional practice. More than 90% of our students are admitted into advanced standing programs, graduate programs in other disciplines, or employed upon completion of their baccalaureate degree. The department works closely with approximately 40-50 majors, including 10 – 15 senior field placement students per year. Teaching is distributed over fall and spring semesters. The Field Director will teach field practicum seminars, micro practice classes, and content that fits program needs and the lecturer’s expertise.
