Job description

The City of Independence Communications Department is seeking a Digital Content Coordinator. This position supports the Communications Department in delivering timely, accurate public information across the City’s digital platforms. This role is responsible for producing and managing multimedia content, operating and directing live public meeting broadcasts, and ensuring high-quality audio/video production compliant with Open Records Laws. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled in media production, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, live production environment. SUPERVISION RECEIVED & EXERCISED: Works under the general supervision of the City’s Public Information Officer within the Communications Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Digital Content Coordinator position will perform some or all of the following job duties, including additional duties as assigned.
