Job Summary This position coordinates and manages emergency management and countywide life safety programs that support both Public Works and Risk Management (withing Human Resources). Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and coordinating internal emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities for Public Works and in coordination with the Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA). The role works closely with internal departments, external partners, and community agencies to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural and human caused disasters. The position also serves as County Life Safety Coordinator, responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining employee life safety programs across all county departments in cooperation with the County Safety Team within Risk Management/Human Resources. This includes developing and maintaining emergency procedures, conducting emergency drills, updating safety maps and reference materials, and providing training to staff to enhance safety awareness and readiness.
