Overview: Job Description Summary: Prepare and dispense medications for pediatric patients and provides consultation on drug and pharmacy related matters, under the supervision of pharmacy preceptors and Residency Program Director. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical supplies as prescribed by physicians or health care providers. - Maintains accurate and complete records of medications dispensed and prescriptions filled. - Monitors medication inventory levels and orders supplies as needed. - Provides medication information and education to patients and health care providers. - Collaborates with other health care professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use. - Maintains a clean and organized pharmacy environment. Education Requirement: - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, required. - Doctor of Pharmacy, preferred. - All trainees functioning in NCH facilities must be in a program that has been approved by the NCH GMEC (Graduate Medical Education Committee) or in an approved residency program of an institution with which NCH has an educational affiliation agreement.
