Position Title: Patient Care Technician – Full Time Days Department: Special Procedures Location: University Hospital Position Overview: The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works under the direction of the registered nurse (RN) as a non-licensed team member, providing essential direct patient care and supporting the healthcare team. The PCT assists with activities of daily living, mobility, continuous observation (including suicide prevention), and maintaining a clean and safe patient environment. This role is vital in ensuring patients receive compassionate, safe, and efficient care during their hospital stay. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. Support patient mobility and repositioning to prevent complications. Conduct continuous patient observation, including suicide prevention measures. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment.
