Job description

The Virginia Association of Broadcasters (VAB) paid internship at WRIC will run from approximately Monday, June 1, 2026, through Friday, July 26, 2026. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following rotation duties - Researching, pitching and reporting stories - Helping find and process video from social media and other sources - Shooting and editing video and photographs - Writing scripts - Producing television shows - Producing digital channels - Other assignments as deemed necessary by management Qualifications and requirements: - Must be a college student, junior or above, pursuing a degree at an accredited institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress - Must be a member of The Virginia Association of Broadcasters - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above - Ideal academic background include journalism, broadcast journalism, digital/new media studies, communications, marketing, public relations, production, English and social media - Must be 18 years of age or older - Must have unrestricted autho...
