Job description

BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for an LNG Engineer II/LNG Sr Engineer/LNG Sr Engineer II at our Cove Point facility located in Lusby, MD. The LNG Engineer (Electrical) provides plant-wide technical authority and day-to-day support for the reliable operation of Cove Point’s medium and low voltage power generation and distribution systems. This role focuses on preventing electrical equipment failures, optimizing protective relaying and load shedding schemes, maintaining power system models, and driving continuous improvement in electrical reliability and safety. Key responsibilities include: - Perform power system modeling, load flow, short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies using ETAP. - Maintain the site-wide arc-flash program and ensure NFPA 70E compliance. - Develop, test, and maintain protective relay settings and coordination for 13.8 kV and 4.16 kV systems. - Support the Fast Load Shedding and Power Management Systems for plant turbines and black [1] start generators. - Lead or support Root Cause Failure Analyses and bad-actor elimination for electrical equipment. - Provide electrical discipline input to Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP revalidation stu...
