Job description

The Biomed Tech provides biomedical support including preventive maintenance and repairs to all Clinical/Patient related equipment. This position will service & maintain equipment in areas assigned. Essential Duties: - Tests all equipment assigned to and under the jurisdiction of the Biomedical Engineering department. - Repairs and verifies the correct function of all equipment assigned to and under the jurisdiction of the Biomedical Engineering department. - Assures all equipment in the biomedical equipment management program receives preventive maintenance, electrical safety testing and calibration in the month due as indicated by the equipment management program. - Procures all parts required to assure the correct functioning of all equipment in the equipment management program in the absence of the Biomedical Engineering Manager. - Represents the department in hospital committee meetings as required in the absence of the Biomedical Engineering Manager. - Performs incoming equipment inspections, function testing and installation of all new patient-related medical devices as required. - Documents all tests and inspections performed on all patient-related medical devices in order...
