Job description
The Applied Perception Science (APS) team at Meta Reality Labs is seeking a research scientist intern to join our vision science program, focusing on visual perception in augmented reality (AR) headsets. This role will help pioneer foundational research into the interaction between AR digital content and the real world in see-through displays, informing display technologies in next-generation AR devices. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to design and conduct psychophysical experiments, develop new metrics of visual perception in AR, and build a new research stream quantifying visual performance in AR hardware. Your work will directly inform the design and optimization of AR display architectures, ensuring that Meta's products deliver industry-leading visual experiences. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year. Responsibilities: Work on topics in spatio-temporal/color perception during eye movements to support research in AR head-mounted display technologies - Design and conduct psychophysical experiments to quantify visual perception with AR displays, including stu...
