Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Business Immigration Paralegal in our Washington office. This position assists lawyers and non-attorney timekeepers with preparation of complex legal documents, mid-level legal research activities and other tasks related to the immigration practice area. Provides leadership in supporting firm, office and team initiatives and in support of management directives. RESPONSBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: a. NIV (H-1B, L-, E-2/3, TN, O-1 and dependent applications); b. IV (EB2/3/NIW and family-based); and c. PERM applications. - Prepare and finalize petitions and applications with minimal supervision, to include: - Actively participate in case intake and strategy, including research on appropriate SOC classifications and use of private wage surveys. - Maintain timely communications with client contacts (employees, managers, and HR representatives) via email, phone, and video calls as necessary. - Monitor relevant expiration reports and timely initiate renewal processes. - Balance workload across multiple attorneys, with the guidance of practice advisors. - Performs special projects as assigned.
