Senior Mechanical Design Technician

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Technician to join our team in our Irvine office. The Senior Design Technician is responsible for detail, documentation and coordination of HVAC building components. Essential Functions: - Perform HVAC load calculations. - Select equipment such as fans, air handling units, heat exchangers, chillers, etc. - Size and layout ductwork and piping. - Layout equipment rooms with proper clearance and access. - Design and draft details, sections, etc. - Confer with project team members and other engineering personnel and prepare design modifications as required. - Survey existing conditions and perform field reviews, investigations, processing of submittals during construction phase. - Stay abreast of state-of-the-art design through independent reading, attendance of seminars and continuing education.
