About the opportunity: Our Defence and Security provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for an HV Designer/Power Systems Engineer to design large industrial facilities, e.g. power station buildings, large manufacturing facilities, dockyards, etc then we want to speak with you. We offer hybrid working with 1-2 days in the Glasgow office. Occasional site visits may be necessary. Key Responsibilities include: Performs the assessment and design and monitors ongoing process of a project, including the coordination of the project with project delivery team. Leading/working with a team of Electrical engineers/designers in developing/reviewing engineering deliverables throughout various stages of the project. Carrying out site surveys/ condition assessments to determine requirements. Experience in utility diversions. Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of HV/LV systems and equipment for industrial and commercial applications.
