Manager - Environmental Health and Safety

Job description

Responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of all aspects of environmental health and workplace safety for the campus community. This includes day to day compliance with local and federal health and safety regulations as well as response in emergency situations that involve environmental or workplace hazards. Coordinates the College’s participation in the Illinois Community College Risk Management Consortium (ICCRMC), and the filing of insurance claims. Acts as the budget manager for the department responsible for the processing of purchase orders, paying bills, and the submission of the annual budget request. Updates the “Environmental Health & Safety Procedure Manual” as needed to stay current with regulations and to provide a safe educational and working environment, as required in Section 13.23.0 Environmental Health of the “Board of Trustees Policy Manual”.
