School Summary South Carolina Bridge Connections Academy (SCBCA) is a tuition-free, full-time alternative virtual public school for students in grades 9-12 located throughout the state of South Carolina. The school operates in partnership with the Charter Institute at Erskine. SCBCA is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, an accrediting division of AdvancED. Position Summary: Working from your home office, the 12-month Coordinator of Counseling Services will collaborate closely with the School Leader and Manager of Counseling Services to support at-risk students in grades 9-12. They will assist students and parents in understanding and meeting graduation requirements, course selection, scheduling, and crisis intervention, while also providing direction to staff. This leadership position will support teachers in an alternative learning environment by ensuring robust systems of accountability are in place. This includes providing oversight and weekly monitoring of student indicators such as assignment submission, platform activity, and progress toward pacing targets, as well as identifying educational gaps.
