The department provides engineering support for protection and control systems, system disturbance analysis, equipment evaluation, and standards development. Position Summary: The System Protection Engineer Intern is an entry-level engineering position designed to train students in the fundamentals of transmission and distribution system protection. This role works under the general technical direction of experienced System Protection Engineers and requires a high level of guidance, training, and review. The intern supports both project and maintenance & operations (M&O) activities while gaining hands-on exposure to utility protection engineering practices.
