EDUCATION COORDINATOR - SEASONAL Location: Charleston Corps – Charleston, South Carolina Position Type: Temporary Full-Time Pay Rate: $18.87/hour ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY: Directly accountable to the Executive Director and Program Coordinator for the overall program of The Community Center which includes; planning and implementing education programs and working with volunteers. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinates the education program and provides quality and effective services to participants in order to strive towards the vision, mission and goal of The Salvation Army Community Center. - Plans programs for the Education Department, subject to the approval of the Executive Director. - Assists in recruiting and training staff and volunteers. - Promotes and stimulates membership in the department and organizes reading incentive programs and reading motivation. - Makes monthly statistical reports to the Executive Director. - Works with Satellite Center of The Salvation Army Community Center After School Program.
