Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for general clinical duties such as taking vital signs, giving injections, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. May perform some administrative duties and support the documentation of patient records as dictated by the physician or provider. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of an MA program from an accredited program or school EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of directly-related experience as a Medical Assistant is required. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Active CMA or RMA required. Active CPR/BLS required. - Takes inpatients by obtaining vital signs and weight. - Obtains history, chief complaint, medications, allergies and documents appropriately in the EMR. - Report all pertinent findings to Physicians. - Manages patient appointments according to the Physicians schedules and protocols. - Answers messages from patients by clinic policy. - Handle all medication refills or request via clinic policy. - Prepares charts as necessary for next scheduled clinic, provide physician with all necessary test resul...
