QUALIFICATIONS: - Post-secondary diploma/certificate in office administration or equivalent combination of education and experience - Minimum one year experience in a hospital diet office or hospital food services mandatory - Experience with CBORD Food Service Suite required - Ontario Hospital Association’s Food Management Certificate is an asset - Basic skill level is required for MS Word, Excel and typing - Clerical testing may be required as part of the selection process - Demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic diets, common hospital diet restrictions, food allergies, etc - Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required - Must be able to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions - Must be able to set own priorities and work with minimal supervision - Good work performance and a good attendance record are essential RESPONSIBILITIES: - Enters STAR diet orders, allergies and food preferences into Food Service Suite software in a timely and accurate manner - Checks for accuracy and diet compliance of mealtrays during beltline assembly (requires standing in a refrigerated meal assembly area) - Adjusts meal trays in a refrigerated storage area.
