Description The Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University (NYU) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor focusing on the behavioral or social scientific study of business. We seek a scholar with a Ph.D. (or expected degree in 2026) in economic or organizational sociology, industrial or organizational psychology, management, public policy, business history, labor studies, or a related field. We will consider scholars of any part of the world. Successful candidates for this two-year position will present strong evidence of excellence in interdisciplinary teaching and research and will have the Ph.D. in hand by the start date of September 1, 2026 . The teaching load for this position is four courses per year (two in the fall and two in the spring). Additionally, visiting faculty may carry an advising load of up to five students. Successful applicants will have evidence of teaching effectiveness, an ongoing research program, and commitment to increasing diversity and fostering inclusion in academia.
