Dispatcher Location: Detroit MI: Pay: $17 per hour Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled About the Role: At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We're seeking an organized and efficient Dispatcher to coordinate our pickup and delivery operations. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth logistics operations by managing pickup orders, coordinating routes, and supervising assistant dispatchers. You'll be responsible for routing pickup orders, tracking vehicles, maintaining records, and supporting our mission of serving those in need in our community. What You’ll Do: Dispatch Operations: - Route pickup orders to appropriate Production Assistants daily - Track and maintain accurate records of vehicle locations and completed calls - Operate two-way radio equipment according to center policy and FCC regulations - Route same-day special donations efficiently - Assign vehicles and coordinate all routes Supervision & Communication: - Supervise assistant dispatcher - Conduct Production Assistant meetings when necessary - Maintain open co...
