Overview Job Summary: The Assistant Day Camp Director is responsible to make sure that all aspects of the day to day operation of the camp run smoothly, primarily through the supervision of campers and IUP work study students, as well as the supervision of all activities. Responsibilities: - Participate in planning the Summer Day Camp under the Director’s leadership and Corps Officers as needed. - Assist in the supervision of IUP Work Study students and volunteers. - Clear communication with camp director and all staff to make sure that Day Camp runs smoothly. - Proper supervision of campers while maintaining a safe and structured environment at all times. - Teach and implement lessons and activities (i.e. arts, recreation, devotions, etc.), - Participate with campers during activities. - Assist Director with recruitment efforts as needed - Take attendance and assist in maintaining program statistics - Assist in meal preparation and distribution - Assist with transportation and completion of mileage report as requested. - Help plan and attend scheduled field trips with campers. - Represent the Salvation Army positively in the community. - Maintain good stewardship practices in care...
