Description The Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine is recruiting for a one-year Clinical Instructor position in neurosurgical trauma and spinal surgery, starting July 2022. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in neurosurgical trauma and spinal surgery. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant is required to have a M.D. degree and obtain medical licensure within the State of California. Responsibilities will include the surgical and medical care of inpatients and outpatients at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC), a teaching affiliate of Stanford University School of Medicine. Primary clinical assignment will be at SCVMC, in San Jose, California, which is a busy Level-1 trauma center.
