Dr. Kim’s laboratory seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Special Project Associate II to support ongoing translational and experimental research investigating the interaction between radiation therapy and the immune system in cancer. The primary responsibilities of this position are data collection and animal facility upkeep, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge cancer immunology research. The laboratory conducts translational and experimental studies investigating tumor immunology, immune modulation within the tumor microenvironment, biomarkers of treatment response, and the combination of radiation therapy with immunotherapeutic approaches across multiple cancer types. Research efforts span preclinical models, analysis of patient-derived specimens, and correlative studies linked to clinical trials. The position is considered non-exempt (hourly), and therefore, all hours worked must be recorded.
