SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Motion Automation Intelligence- Production Tech makes, repairs, adapts, and rectifies tools, dies and other pieces of mechanical equipment with high precision specifications and tolerances by interpreting blueprints, consulting specifications and making operative tests. The Motion Automation Intelligence- Production Tech operates all kinds of mechanical tools under the guidance of a supervisor. The Motion Automation Intelligence- Production Tech fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repairs dies, cutting tools, jigs and related items. The Motion Automation Intelligence- Production Tech modifies dies to conform to engineering changes. JOB DUTIES: - Studies engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences. - Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers. - Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. - Verifies conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes. - Sets up and opera...
