Prioritizes and performs high level disinfection for a variety of endoscopic scopes and accessories according to manufacturer’s instructions and hospital policies to meet elective and urgent patient care needs. Ensures scope storage meets regulatory requirements and that appropriately dated scope accessories are available for use. Completes required sterilization records, QA logs, checklists, and auditing functions to ensure work practices are maintained to reduce risk of patient/employee cross-contamination. Covers ENDO processing call as needed to meet departmental operational needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Must have Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). 3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. EXPERIENCE: 1.
