Job description

This is a merit hire position. The starting pay rate for this position is $23.77. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Dauphin County Children & Youth Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Caseworker 2. The Caseworker 2 performs social service casework and case management for children, adolescents and their families by conducting interviews, assessing needs, and case planning. He/she establishes and maintains associated confidential records and collaborates with legal staff in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings pursuant to clients’ well-being. The Caseworker 2 may make task assignments to a Social Service Aide and reports directly to the Caseworker Supervisor. Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as a CYS Caseworker 1. Or successful completion of the Social Casework Intern program. Or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare or Social Work major. Or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences, and one year of professional...
