Medical Center: Recovery Room [PACU] - Full-Time, Day Shift Job Summary: The Supervisor, Patient Care PeriAnesthesia, assists the manager/director in providing clinical, administrative, financial and human resource management of designated perianesthesia department(s) in a large academic medical center on multiple campuses with level one trauma designation, comprehensive stroke center designation and transplant center. Demonstrates comprehensive specialized body of knowledge related to the specialty practice of perianesthesia nursing which includes, but is not limited to, pre anesthesia phase, post anesthesia phase I and II, and out-patient extended care. Functions within the expectations of a highly proficient professional nurse and meets nursing excellence standards to achieve and maintain Magnet Recognition as outlined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment to manage and supervise a team of licensed and unlicensed staff who provide direct and indirect age-specific patient care for a diverse outpatient and inpatient population.
