Description Purpose: As a senior member of the finance team, your most important role will be to set an example for other team members with your person-centered approach to finance. Realizing that every task we undertake ultimately leads back to supporting people and ensuring their needs are met. Supporting and protecting their financial interests and advocating for their right to choose is essential. Empowering everyone to participate in their financial process. Your primary role will be to monitor all revenue and expense activities for the agency, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. Also, to assist the Controller in maintaining internal control processes. Essential Functions: - Assisting with closing process including posting journal entries, preparing financial statements and monthly Board reports - Monitors all revenue and expense for accuracy and analyzes variances - Reconcile various GL accounts including cash, construction in process, leases, prepaid expenses, investments and long-term debt - Review and approval of various payable transactions ensuring proper GL coding - Assists in the training of new finance staff - Assists in monitoring and enforcing inte...
