Company: Allegheny Health Network Job Description: GENERAL OVERVIEW: Provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the Prehospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of Emergency Medical Care. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum - Drives emergency or response vehicle. (20%) - Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic and advanced life support to the critically ill and injured during treatment and transport in the prehospital setting. (50%) - Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards. (15%) - Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards. (15%) - Performs other duties as assigned or required. - High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - For Prehospital Response Unit: 5 years’ relevant experience and current preceptor status - Medical Command eligible - PA Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the Paramedic level or licensed...
