General Assignment Reporter

Job description

KABB/WOAI is looking for an aggressive, take-charge General Assignment Reporter to help us continue to grow our audience and empower our viewers. We're looking for a motivated, energetic, and creative reporter who can gather information and enterprise new stories. You should have sound writing skills, a great work ethic, and a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate should be able to think on their feet, have excellent live shot skills, and thrive on breaking stories. No day will look the same as a Reporter, however, the main responsibilities will include: - Create, gather, and write meaningful and engaging stories for newscasts, websites, and social media platforms - Provide news on air as directed by news management - Engage with local community members - Review material for fairness, accuracy, and balance - Work closely with all team members, including Producers, Editors, Anchors, and News Director Additionally, this person should: Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
