Job Description The Mounter reports to the Technical Manager of the Printing and Converting Departments and is directed daily by the Press Supervisor. Prepares sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses, and is responsible for quality/productivity associated with materials processed through assigned machinery. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) FACILITY;: In this position the employee is responsible for the preparation of sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses. Position entails mounting photopolymer plates onto sleeves and proofing. Notify management whenever equipment is found to be malfunctioning, damaged, or in need of repair. Maintain production and quality standards as set forth by Department Manager. Organizes work flow for smooth operation. Makes necessary adjustments and monitors equipment so that product complies with work order. Other duties may be assigned. Lifts and places printing sleeves of specified size on mounter-proofing machine. Measures and sets cameras used as guides for alignment of printing plates.
