Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor for a local client in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities: People and Labor Management: - Lead and manage all aspects of Safety, Quality, and Line Efficiency for the assigned shift. - Lead & manage the Daily Meeting System for maintenance?department. - Lead execution plans through the maintenance & repair cell, building team skills and providing training when applicable. - Support for recruitment of mechanics and oversees the interviews. - Manage union relationships to foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts professionally. - Build capabilities within the team including Shift Leads supporting the line by providing employees with tools, skills and opportunities to grow - Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance in tooling and workshop management. - Talent management for the PM Technicians. Preventive Maintenance: - Lead mean time to repair (MTTR) improvement agenda; During any unplanned stops lead decision making and take proper countermeasures to resume production safely and soon is possible to minimize MTTR.
