Job description

At Mahaska Health the primary role of the Resource CNA is to work under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort, quality, continuity and safety of a patient’s care. The CNA is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. This position will support staffing in Hospice, Inpatient, Birthing Center and Emergency Services. Full-time Hours: Days – 7:00am – 7:00pm Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to, - Is able to perform in a CNA role, competently, in all clinical departments. - Is familiar with all nursing departments and can assist when necessary. - May work multiple departments in one shift, or all hours in a single unit. - Assumes and maintains responsibility for caseload as assigned and keeps supervisory personnel informed as the need arises. - Performance of tasks associated with personal hygiene care i.e. bathing, shampooing, and dressing. - Performance of tasks associated with activities of daily living i.e. housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, etc. - Performance of tasks as...
