Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN)-Per Diem performs pre and post-anesthesia nursing assessment and recovery for patients post-operation in the scope of RN practice. Is available to assist anesthesiologists with procedures as requested and to intervene in medical emergencies throughout the School of Dentistry. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Minimum two years of clinical experience in area of specialty required. Knowledge and Skills: Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment; perform technical patient care activities. Able to relate to and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction.
