Description The University of Washington’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, is offering an outstanding opportunity for up to 5 physiatrists to join our faculty in the Division of Sports & Spine. These will be a full-time academic appointments as Professor of Clinical Practice. The primary responsibility for faculty in the Clinical Practice Track is clinical care. Clinical care responsibilities involve the care of individuals with a range of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions including sports and spine problems. There is an expectation for clinical teaching, scholarship, and service. Faculty on the Clinical Practice Track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice Track appointments are not eligible for tenure. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code Section 24-34 .
