The role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to support tooling, equipment, and facility reliability within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production tooling and equipment to ensure optimal uptime, safety, and quality. This position is based on-site at our Chicago, IL facility and reports to the Automation Manager as part of the Maintenance & Facilities team. What You’ll Do: - Assess tooling condition against drawings, perform required repairs, and validate functionality prior to release back to production. - Reduce equipment and tooling downtime and scrap through preventive and predictive maintenance practices and spare parts management. - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, tooling, and facilities; complete all required documentation. - Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, documenting all work to support a target of less than 30 minutes mean time to repair (MTTR). - Recommend improvements to tooling, processes, and equipment to enhance productivity, uptime, and reliability. - Assist with fabrication, installation, and implementation of maintenance and con...
